Wind & Whispers is an exploration of secrets and the evolving intimacy I have with my children. Using our hair clippings, hung above silver gelatin paper, I whisper secrets, like a game of Telephone or how I speak when I hold them in my arms, their delicate hair draped on my skin. My voice and the breeze compels the hair to move as the paper is exposed to sunlight, producing lumen prints. These latent images are scanned, fixed, then scanned again, further altering their original auditory state. The secrets are transformed yet tethered to the paper, a suspended moment of intimacy.
