Living with chronic illness for more than two decades comes with a range of complexities beyond just the physical challenges typically described in the diagnostic criteria. It is layered with grief, with disappointment, with a lack of trust for my body. It also comes with an endless desire for relief: to find remedies in this world that provide a period of ease, to remember what it feels like to feel good in my skin. “Even This” is a living body of work in which I explore the notion of remedy and relief. I exist in a body where inflammation runs wild and so I look to the wild outside of my body to find ways to heal.
